About Us
My name is Demi Corbett and I am Street Bauble. Street Bauble officially opened in 2010, but I have been making jewelry as long as I can remember. My dad likes to tell the story of when I was so small I had to climb on a chair to reach the buffing wheel. I don't really remember this, but it still might actually be true.
I do remember going into his studio every day to ask:
"Daddy, what ya doing?"
"Making jewelry," he'd say.
"Can I help?"
And like the sweet father that he is he'd let me help.
That was the beginning!
Probably at first he threw away or redid everything I made. Making jewelry is not easy. But I learned and he was patient and eventually I became good at it. Eventually making jewelry paid my way through college to get a degree in Geography and then later when the economy tanked my career job, I started my own jewelry business. Creating beautiful things is in me, it's part of me. So here I am with a jewelry business of my own, my own studio, and my own children coming in to ask to help.
And the Geographer in me delights to think of my jewelry going off on little adventures to see the world.
